TThe big just just dump the excess fuel . It vaporises, but then one assumes and condenses. Can it be proven as a source of not known before contact dermatitis? My skin is coming off in shreds and l live near an international airport.

l can tell you for a fact there are not any commercial passenger airlines dumping any fuel anywhere. That stuff is just too valuable.

Check with the military.

You are mistaken in thinking that airliners are ''overladen'' with fuel. Fueling is very carefully managed, and there are no airplanes ''dumping'' fuel anywhere. That includes the military.

l strongly suggest you get on the 'phone and make an appointment with a dermatologist. A doctor can figure out what is wrong with your skin. But any old pilot can tell you that it is not ''paraffin'' from airplanes flying over.

The only time an aircraft will dump fuel is if it just took off and a problem developed that requires it to land as soon as possible. Under normal operations, aircraft have no need to dump fuel.

On the rare occasions when dumping fuel is necessary, the pilots will try to do so over open water or away from population centers.

Unless it is an emergency, no planes purposely dump excess fuel.

That said, fuel can spill out of the vents if it is been overfilled. Especially on takeoff. The vents r located at the wingtips, the highest point of the wing tanks.

Normal practice when fueling, is to only put the required amount in each tank according the distribution tables. Sometimes the flight plan requires more fuel than the plane can take. Sometimes the flight crew and/or airline wo not take anything less no matter what. So the fueller keeps putting fuel in until the tanks automatically shut off or a mechanic will override it & pump in the added fuel. If any tank overfills, the overflow goes into a surge tank, & all the tanks shut off. But if the shut off feature is overridden or inoperative, the fuel will continue to fill the surge tank until it overflows & spills out of the wing tips . If there is enough fuel in the surge tank, it will spill out on take off, probably over ur house.

l see this often where l work. If there is any fuel in the surge tank, it is to be drained completely, but it takes time & instead of taking a delay, we just let it go.

l do not know the answer to ur Q, but l know it happens more than people think. What u should do is get a telescope or binoculars & see if u can see the fuel venting out of the wingtips on takeoff & reporting it. If you're at an international airport, I'd be looking at 747 is that r taking 13+ hour flights. The airline will be given a very big fine for doing this.

Fuel dumping is rare.
