Well get the job as an instructor, work hard at it, make money. Get a regional airline job and work your way up to the big boys.

A typical ''new hire'' at a major airline will typically have the following experience: 5,000+ hours total time, 3,000+ hours multi engine time, 2,000+ turbine time, 1,000+ turbine pilot in command time. This will take 5-10 years to accumulate. Some people get in with less time of course, but these r average numbers. There r lots of ways to build this kind of experience & it usually requires several different jobs. The standard ones r flight instructing (single & multi-engine) & commuter airlines. There r lots of others. You should also have a Bachekor is degree.

l am a commerical pilot & l would be happy to help u out with this answer.

After u get ur commerical certificate with 250 hours u can apply for those commerical jobs. With that said u could get a job with Mesa Airlines or Peidmont Airlines they hire low times guys.

Dont expect alot of pay u will only make 28,000.00 a year which is hard to live on. You can expect that pay for about three years & then u might be able to slide over to the left seat as a captain & make 65,000.00 a year. The hours r horriable, but u will gain alot of flight time in a small amount of time.

The goal is to get on with the Regionals first because thats all that will hire u being such a low time guy, but get that ATP rating & become a captain After 5 years u will have the hours & expereince to go to the Majors like Delta, Southwest, American.

It is a very long hard process at the begining but is is attainable if u work hard. The money is great when u make it to the majors & then u know life will be great money & working days!!
