Yes, there have been many cases of people stowing away..it is hard to stowaway in the cargo holds. but people have managed to squeeze themselves into the undercarriage mechanism and have frozen to death..but not usually on transatlantic flights..usually from third world coutries to say UK

Well, l guess considering Jumbo is carry animals in the cargo hold, l dont belive that they would freeze to death, however, Im sure it would not be comfortable.

However, if you are clever, you would go to someones luggage and take out a jumper and some warm clothes!

Yes l think it is true. animals are carried in a separate compartment from the luggage. it is kept at a different temperature to the cargo hold. l do not think you should try anyway just buy a flight ticket like the rest of us do!

No. The cargo holds of a 747 are pressurized and warm. They have the same air as the cabin. However, it would be difficult to stow away on a 747 as most of the cargo area is containerized.

its a myth, in the case of the 747 anyway.
the cargo deck which is below the passenger deck is also pressurized and heated to about 10 to 15 degrees Celcius
good luck getting on and finding yourself some space to settle down. bring a hatchet and break open one of the cargo containers and build yourself a little cozy hidey hole for the trip.

Just take a look at the 747 cockpit, you will see a switch marked aft cargo heat. So the answer is no.
