Gonna give you a star. l wanna know too.

Step 1: Find the ILS frequency. If u open the map, & find ur airport & the runway u want. There should be agreen feather leading out from the runway u want. Click on it. It should be labeled at the top as the runway u want. There should also be a frequency. Write this frequency down (eg. 109.50)

Step 2: Tune NAV radio in the radio panel (press shift+2), eitherNAV1 or NAV2, but NAV1 works best.

Step3: get into position near the ILS. You should see the needle is begin to move. There is a horizontal indicator, & a vertical indicator.

A situation like this means u r on the correct path & r in-line with the runway. (The autopilot APP mode can fly this for u down to near the runway)

This means u r too high, move lower to get back onto the correct path, likewise if the needle moves lower, u r too low, move upwards.

Means u r too far to the right, move left to get back in line with the runway. Vica-versa as well.

Step 4: Once u r near the runway (with either autopilot or hand-flying) u should be able to see the PAPI.

means u r on a good path. Fly down to the runway, trying to stay with the ILS until about 300-200 feet above the runway, then switch to the PAPI, as the ILS becomes too sensetive. When u r about to touch down, pull the nose up to flare & touchdown smoothly.

NB: The autopilot does not flare, & will instead make a hard landing.
