It is impossible to get hold of a complete uniform. Spouse is a retired captain and all parts of uniform had to be burned. Most keep the last one for funeral.

It really only worked in the early days of jet travel when Airline pilots where a famous curiosity!
l would not bother!

l was a waiter in a hotel when l was young, living in, all staff would go out together. One person was a compulsive liar telling girls we were pilots. When he went to the toilet l would tell them l had only just met him. He once nearly got us beaten up for telling a rowdy group of men we were kung fu experts and to shut the fcuk up.

While working for an airline (as a flight attendant) l remember a case where a pilot that had been fired managed to somehow keep his crew ID or make a facsimile. Since pilots are allowed to ride for free on extra jumpseats in the cockpit, he was using this for free travel to and fro. He was caught and prosecuted. l think there was a case where a guy who had never worked as a pilot (not commercial at least) managed to pull the same scheme until caught.

We have all told tall tales to impress the opposite sex.
However do not even think about wearing a Pilots uniform in an Airport especially on board an Aircraft.

If you are challenged by Airline staff or law enforcement in this post 9/11 era. The ramifications will most likely ruin your life.

Find something to do and be proud of in the real world and walk around claiming with pride who you really are.
