Icelandair currently have a fleet consisting of:

The Icelandair fleet includes the following aircraft (at 8 June 2008):

2 Boeing 767-300ER
On order:

6 Boeing 787-8

l will bet it is one of them!

Never heard of that type of aircraft and l did not fint it in an specialised website. Anyway, if you find it interesting, l will give you the website, it is quite good for aircraft interested people.

it will likely be one of the 757 varieties, with the w being their code between different ones. (there are only 75_7s, with different dash number s to designate differences in models in this series, so no need to put more than 75 to designate as a 757)

or it could be a 'code share' with another airline, and the designation has something to do with that. email customer services for icelandair and ask if you are really worried about it!

The IATA code 75W refers to a Boeing 757-200 aircraft with winglets installed. The 757 is powered by twin turbofan (jet) engines.

If u visit the FlightStats website, do a search for flights between Keflavik & London Heathrow. One of the flights for today (8/20/08, FI450) shows ''75W'' for the equipment used & clicking on the flight provides more details, including showing ''Boeing 757-200 (winglets)'' for the equipment used.

75W is a new code & does not appear on any online listings of IATA aircraft codes that l have been able to find.
