how long does it take for you to be a airline pilot after college?
i have my batchlors in commericial aviation...
also do airlines still hiring pilots or they are cutting jobs like everybody eles jobs?

Take is as long as you make it. You do not put time and effort into flight school, it is going to take a long time.

You need airline and FAA basic requirement is in ordered to be hired.

Airline is are not hiring like they used to, which means they still hire, however it may be 65 pilot is out of 1000, It is competitive, but probable.

most airlines are in a desperate pilot shortage. that is one of the reasons (as well as fuel prices) why airlines are cutting flights.

As long as u want it to be. You can go from 0 hours to flight instructor in 6 months if u can do it full time. Add on another year or so to get to a regional airline.

Hardly any airlines r hiring these days. Maybe a few at the regional level, but even some of those guys r furloughing.

Tough time to be a pilot

There is a pilot shortage? Huh? That must be why every person l know who has gone on to a legacy major airline since 9/11 is on the street again. Trust me, there is no pilot shortage, nor will there ever be.

Major airlines cutback flights because they do not want to recall their furloughed pilots (who would come back making a lot of money.). American Airlines has been doing this for years.
