why is a plane diffrent to a car. Most people jump in someones car the day they get there license .. the fact they got there license shows there capable of doing the job

It is very costly.

And the only problem l have with airplanes is that, if the engine fails, you can not get out and walk.

I'd let him get more experience before going with him.

Let him get some hours in/ why would you go with someone, who has just got a license. you have a full life ahead of you. What experience has he got of a panic situation???/

ENOUGH from me

Maybe a few more hours in the air first: Age is not the big factor here it is flying time.

One thing about a plane if u develop trouble in the air u can not just pull over to the curb:

As far a costly if he is having to rent a plane yes it is going to be costly. If he already has a plane then not so costly but Av-gas is costly compared to automotive gas.

Also if he is renting or leasing the plane u will definitely need to make sure the plane is well maintained & all the required safety inspections r up to date.

l agree with Eric and Juan; l would wait until he has more experience.

He would not have that licence if he were not trustworthy and proficient in being a pilot. Those who say they ''can not get out and walk'' failed to mention the pilot is also trained in gliding to a safe place not that would ever happen. Planes weather rented or owned must have 100 hour inspections and annual inspections by licenced mechanics.

A pilot is license does not guarantee that a pilot is good or safe, any more than a driver is license guarantees that a driver is good or safe. It is harder to get a pilot is license, of course, but it is also harder to pilot an airplane. A great deal depends on the individual pilot.

If u would trust him if he were driving a motorcycle with u on the back, then u can probably trust him flying an airplane, as the risks of both r of similar magnitude. But it is up to you.

l have a pilot is licence & soon after l passed, l went on several daytime flights, in good weather, with friends.

They do not just hand out licences, u have to have reached a certain safe standard. You should be confident therefore that it is safe to fly with ur friend. All l would say is just be sure the weather is very good. If it changes during the flight, as it did with me on several occasions, things can get very challenging. Also, make sure he does not take too many friends at once. l did this once (filled a 4 seat aircraft) & it barely got off the ground (despite me checking l was within legal limits) - not a pleasant experience.

You could also speak to his instructor if yoo r concerned. At the end of the day, it is ur choice but u should realise there is more chance of u having a car accident - so go fly, & enjoy!

Your friend is probably very eager to share the experience of flight with you. He has earned the privilege of flying an aircraft with passengers. If u r apprehensive l suggest that u talk to him & ask that ur first ride be on a very nice day with calm winds, that the flight be somewhat short in duration & that he promises to fly the plane using gentle banks in turns & no zoom climbs or dives. This is the proper way for a new pilot to share the experience with his first pass angers. Sit back & enjoy the ride & be sure & tell him ''that was a really nice landing''

Since he just got his license, he is probably more proficient now than he will be a year from now. He is had to practice and prepare for the checkride. Sure go on up with him! What is the harm?

If you trust him then yeah, but if he is an idiot, then no

Its not the airplane, its about how safe he is. Does he race cars? Like to show off in cars? DUIs? Accidents? You know regular 18 year old stuff. When l was 18 l crashed a few cars, lord only knows what l would have done in a plane. But if he is a safe driver then go for it.

If he just got his license he is probably the safest he ever is going to be because it is all so fresh in his mind.
