odd question... my jeans are stapled..a lot..long story..will this set off the metal detector at the airport?

Interesting.. thing is l consider it would depend on the sensitivity adjusted to the detector. Sometimes they are so sensitive that even a small watch will sound the alarm. Would have to see how many staples your jeans have but if you say a lot then maybe they would. l fly for an ailine and having to go through this process so many times is what makes me think they should not but..please let me know! jeje..

Sounds like you need to hook yourself up with some new jeans..

not sure but that button on jeans l think thats made of medal and that doesnt set it off


just dont wear the jeans

Dont wear them. go in something else or buy new ones if you must. The TSA does not have a sense of humor and will see this as you challenging their abilitiy/authority. They will give you are hard time about them. If you argue with them you wont win and will only piss off them and the people behind you in line.

a box of staples would.

l believe (somebody will correct me if l am wrong) that individual staples with enough space between them might not, even if the same # of staples still glued together would.

surely you've got something else you can wear on the plane? Seriously, those seat covers ai not free ya know?
