The MIG-25 Foxbat would lose every time. It is a primitive plane with a huge engine. It was designed for one job, to intercept the B-70 supersonic bomber, to launch rockets at it and then to return to base. It is not a dog fighter.

In 2005, a trainer Eurofighter T1 was reported to have had a chance encounter the previous year with two U.S. Air Force F-15Es over the Lake District in the north of England. The encounter became a mock dogfight with the Eurofighter allegedly emerging victorious.[95][96][verification needed]

In the 2005 Singapore evaluation, the Typhoon won all three combat tests, including one in which a single Typhoon defeated three RSAF F-16s, & reliably completed all planned flight tests.[97][98][verification needed] Singapore still went on to buy the F-15.

During the exercise ''Typhoon Meet'' held in 2008, Eurofighters flew against F/A-18 Hornets, Mirage F1s, Harriers & F-16s in a mock combat exercise. It is claimed that the Eurofighters won all engagements (even outnumbered 8 vs 27) without suffering losses.[

The euro fighter would most likely win, however the us also has new fighters being built now, we will have to wait & see how this turns out.

The key word is ''dogfight''. The Foxbat is/was an interceptor in the same way that the Tornado F3 is; it was never a dogfighter.

I've seen the Eurofighter in action several times & it is a generation ahead of anything else right now, whereas the Foxbat is already two generations old. Even disregarding Eurofighter is massive agility advantage, the avionics & weapons systems mean there is simply no comparison between a Eurofighter & a Foxbat - the Foxbat would lose every time.

Ultimately, the thing that really decides any aerial combat is pilot training & the technology of the weapons systems. Most wars of recent years have seen Western pilots shooting down poorly trained, poorly equipped pilots. The major air war of modern times between well trained pilots with good hardware on both sides was the Falklands War, which demonstrated emphatically that training plus the effectiveness of ur missile systems (as opposed to the aircraft per se) were the key deciders in aerial combat.

The Eurofighter would win. Odds r that the Foxbat would never even see the Eurofighter. Modern equipment in the Eurofighter means it would detect the Foxbat long before the Foxbat would be able to detect the Eurofighter, & with engagement ranges for AAMs beyond visual range, the Foxbat could be engaged & fired upon without knowing its adversary is anywhere nearby.

l do not recall if the Eurofighter uses an AESA radar, but if it does it would be able to get even closer by using the radar to disable/distract the Foxbat is detection systems.

It depends on the pilot. The MiG-25 is an aging platform, crudely built around a massive set of engines, known for its unreliability. The Eurofighter is a modern, technologically advanced fighter, well capable of intercepting a MiG-25.

Keep in mind that the only fighter lost in Desert Storm was a USN F/A-18, purportedly downed by a MiG-25. The original design for the Eurofighter was based on the F/A-18.

l think it could easily go either way.

Some facts to consider:
1- the MiG25 was NEVER designed to go 3.0Mach. The only times it has it destroyed the engines, & the crew was lucky to survive. It is limited to 2.8 Mach
2- Speed is life, but the MiG25 is NOT a ''fighter'' in the conventional sense. It was/is designed to intercept bombers-period.
Were the MiG driver stupid enough to get into a visual fight, which l assume u mean by ''dogfight''- that is an easy kill.
AGILITY is the key to winning engagements post-merge not pure speed. The majority of air/air kills since Korea have occurred at 1.0Mach or just under. Agility is the ability to quickly regain lost energy, & sustain G if necessary. The Foxbat just does not have it-at all. Were the Foxbat to light its 'burners & try to separate, that just makes a HUGE IR signature for a heater shot.
The Foxbat does not carry any countermeasures like chaff, flares making my job even easier. It is radar is a huge beacon, that any modern NATO/US fighter would easily locate. The aircraft itself with vertical sides & being made of steel is a frickin' billboard for radar cross-section. Again, makes my job of seeing & killing him easier.
Actually my airframe the F4, could easily get behind a Foxbat if in not a single scissors, then maybe a couple. Even if the Foxbat yo-yo'd to to convert his energy into altitude to cut his turn.
Finally, take any ''reports'' of ''US/NATO fighters outdone by xxxx'' with a huge grain of salt. Without getting into classified details those r TRAINING sorties. The idea is to instruct the other guy, not show who can kill whom. There is no training value in me shooting a slammer at 10miles at a gomer who is clueless, if the training scenario requires me to merge with him.

An easy pointer would be the G-Limits, the MiG-25 is strictly limited to 4.5 Gs while the Eurofighter has twice that capability. This means that the Typhoon comes into the battle with better combat capability, if it can force the Foxbat into a high G turn it will win the fight even without a shot being fired.

Absolute speed means virtually nothing in todays dogfight. Missiles will decide the outcome & the Foxbat doesnt really have anything to counter the Typhoon is arsenal.

The Foxbat is brother, the Foxhound could put up a better fight.

The only plane that would stand a chance of beating the Eurofighter in a dogfight is an F-22 Raptor, and even that is not as maneuverable as the Eurofighter (Although, in fairness, the F-22 is stealth technology, and slightly higher top speed would even it out a bit).

The mikoyan mig foxbat would not stand a chance, especially as it was not even designed for air superiority.

In the case of fighter jets, usually the more technologically advanced one wins. In this case, the Foxbat was introduced some 30 years ago while the Eurofighter, just recently, 5 years ago. It would not make any sense if aircraft developers and designers made a fighter which will lose to another fighter created decades before it. So the Eurofighter will win.

the mig foxbat is just a fast rocket launcher while the eurofighter typhoon is proberbly the best that money can buy at the moment so l would say the eurofighter typhoon.
