Sure, if it is parked on a flying carpet.

The figure for the length of time that an aircraft can remain aloft is called its ''endurance.'' Light aircraft have endurances ranging from about three hours to as much as eight hours. Trans-oceanic jet airliners have endurances up to fifteen hours or so.

If u mean ''can an airplane stand still in the air for an hour?'' the answer is of course ''no,'' as fixed wing airplanes must move forward to develop lift. Any good turbine powered helicopter could remain stationary for an hour, but there would be no point in it.

l see the ''thumbs-down monkeys'' r out in force today. Have fun!

For an airplane to stay in the air, it must have air flowing over the wings, so technically the answer is no. However if an airplane had an indicated airspeed of 60 knots (speed through the air), and was flying into a 60 knot headwind it would appear that the aircraft was hovering. However, winds of that speed become a little too strong for most small aircraft.

If you put it on the floor, it can not fall off.

Seriously though, if you mean stay in one spot, it is theoretically possible. As long as there is lift. An aircraft does not necessarily have to change position. Generally though, hardly if any constant situation like this develops and the way to maintain lift is to move through air with the proper aerodynamics.

If flying at 100knots in a 100knot headwind, the airplane would appear to remain stationary when viewed from the ground.

However, we tend to measure these types of things in airspeed, so in reality, the airplane is moving at 100knots relative to the air molecules adjacent to it.

If by areoplane you mean aeroplane, and by stand you mean stay in holding pattern, then:
Planes are always required to be filled with enough fuel to get to their destination, then go to somewhere else, then 45 minutes worth extra. Therefore a plane can hold for at least 45 minutes, and usually a lot longer. Since these are minimums, the limit of time a plane can stay in holding is limited only by how much fuel can fit in the plane.
