Hmmm.Let is see.the American domestic airline, Southwest Airlines has never flown any other aircraft in its history than the 737 & to my knowledge has no plans to change this policy. They r the only civilian airline that has made a profit in every quarter of its existence.

Part of the reason for their success is that by flying only one model of aircraft they save an enormous amount of money by simplifying their parts inventory & having mechanics who know the 737 in the greatest detail.

The airline is safety record & profitability is testimony to this wisdom.

Boeing is still building 737s at 31 per month. l do not think you will see the type retired in your lifetime, as they last about 30 years. Demand for this efficient and inexpensive jetliner remains very strong.

If you're talking about the country, there are no plans to retire the 737 for the moment. It is the most popular airliner in the world, and it is still selling very well. Why get rid of it?
